This combines two anonymous prompts - ‘the neighbors know my name’ and Emma gets drunk somewhere in public and her hands start to wander.
Regina walks into The Rabbit Hole and sighs at what she finds. Emma is practically laying on the bar clearly wasted. Rolling her eyes, Regina sways her hips as she goes up to the blonde. Leaning over slightly, she whispers in Emma’s ear. ” Who knew the sheriff was such a lightweight?”
Emma jumps slightly and turns, a sloppy grin spreading across her features. She places her hands on Regina’s hips and slides them around to the brunette’s ass. When she speaks, her words are slurred. “Hey Gina. What’re you doin’ here?”
“I told you never to do that in public!” Regina hisses as she steps back and pulls Emma’s hands from her body. Emma pouts and turns back to the bar. Regina rolls her eyes again and puts a hand on Emma’s arm. “Come on, Ms. Swan. Let’s get you home.”
Emma allows Regina to drag her to the entrance of the bar, but stops just before they leave. She pulls Regina to her and kisses her passionately. Pulling back slightly, she smirks and whispers, “There’s no point in hiding Gina. The neighbors know my name.

A tiny drabble that I wrote at one thirty in the morning. Thanks of course to my beta.
As the countdown begins, they sneak out of the living room and head upstairs to the master suite. No one will notice their absence. Everyone is concentrating on the ball about to drop and worrying about who they’ll kiss at midnight.
In the pale moonlight, Regina’s skin seems to glow and Emma is mesmerized as she gets down on one knee. She has timed her proposal perfectly so that Regina says yes, though Emma always knew that she’d say yes, just as everyone downstairs is shouting “Happy New Year!”
Regina pulls her up and wraps her arms around her neck, leaning close to whisper in her ear. “Happy New Year, Emma. I love you.”
A single tear trails down Emma’s cheek because it really is the happiest new year that she’s ever had.

It took all of five seconds for Emma to realize that she screwed up. Big time. The look of disgust on Regina’s face made her want to crawl into a hole and hide forever.
The night had been going so well too. She hadn’t burnt dinner, which was a major accomplishment. Henry was at a friend’s house so it was just the two of them. She had even placed candles everywhere to create a romantic atmosphere. Emma was proud that she’d managed to pull it off and then she had brought out dessert.
She watched as her wife picked up their plates and took them back to the kitchen. Following silently behind her, Emma grabbed the still open magazine on the counter and flipped through the pages. Her stomach began to fill with dread when she noticed that two of the pages were stuck together.
“Oh my god. Regina, I’m so sorry. The pages were stuck.” She held the magazine out toward the brunette as though it would make everything better.
Regina let out a long sigh and turned to fix Emma with an amused stare. “So, what was that horrifying concoction I just ate? Because it sure as hell wasn’t an English trifle.”
Emma glanced back at the magazine, staring at the two recipes she inadvertently mixed. “Well, it was half of an English trifle and…half of a shepherd’s pie.”
“Oh, you got half of it right,” Regina said with a small laugh. “I guess half of us will be coming tonight and the other half will be thinking about the dessert she got half right.”
Woo hoo part 7! I hope it makes sense and that it’s not just some jumbled mess of feelings. There’s plenty of angst and even a little smut. But just a little.
